Behind the report:
I'm Christian Schellenberg.
I design at Gumloop, the AI-native automation platform.
0→1 Product Designer
I'm a 0→1 product designer with director-level experience. My track record ranges from top-tier agencies (BBDO, AKQA) and a Bill Gates-backed science network to the messy, exciting world of early-stage startups. I prefer the challenge of building from zero to one, bringing strategic thinking, technical fluency, and hands-on design expertise. Recently, I've been a design partner to the founders of Gumloop on their journey from seed-stage to raising a $17M round from Nexus, First Round, and Y Combinator.

Why product risks?
Leading design and product teams, I saw that the best PMs and designers weren’t just building, they were anticipating what could go wrong and turning risks into opportunities. Until recently, I spent weeks with companies mapping out product risks—uncovering blind spots and shaping strategy around them. But this process was slow and expensive, so I started wondering: could AI replicate this kind of deep product thinking? So I set out to test it.
Office hours
I love the messy, uncertain, high-potential world of early-stage startups. When everything is in flux, clear product thinking, sharp vision, and strong conceptual confidence are rare—but critical. Each week, I open a few 30-minute office hour slots for founders, PMs, designers, and engineers who need help navigating early-stage product and design challenges. Book 30m here
